Works on the Switch House were carried out at night to strict heritage guidelines to protect the historical integrity of the building over multiple late nights. The original pressed metal design, Dragonscale, was pressed in VM soft zinc to replace the orginal decayed and rusted material like for like that was beyond repair, preserving the original heritage fabric of the building. The roll form ridge cap was replicated exactly from the original and replaced as were the decayed and rotted timbers of the rafters, purlins and fascias. The roof was finally etch primed using Luxaprime to complete the project.
